The Autism Place is a private practice specializing in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Melanie Smith, M.A, L.P.C. is the owner and founder of The Autism Place, LLC. Melanie graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology. Melanie is also a Licensed Professional Counselor.

For the last eight years of her career, Melanie has had the opportunity to work one on one with the founders of RDI® Program, Dr. Steven Gutstein and Dr. Rachelle Sheely. During her time at the Connections Center, she was a RDI® Certified Consultant and Director of Parent Training.

Melanie and her family live in Pearland, Texas and have two young daughters. She began The Autism Place to focus on her family while continuing her passion of specializing in Autism treatment through RDI®.
